Scott and I lost a roommate and Finn gained one. We rearranged the room, bought furniture off of Craig's list (how does that site make money?) and somehow squoze Franco into Finn's room. In preparation for this occasion, Scott and I have been sleeping on the couch so Franco could "cry-it-out." Am I harsh? I gained a testimony (speaking Mormon here, let me know if you need a translation) of this method with Finn. Finn was like 9 or 10 months old and controlling my life to an unimaginable degree when I finally bit the bullet . . .blah, blah, blah. . . Ok, I'll stop, I realize I'm on the defensive here. I always feel like I have to explain myself when I say I let my baby cry all night long. Anyway, Finn didn't seem to even notice. I thought that was kinda weird. I seriously changed his room around like you wouldn't believe and he's just acting like its business as usual. On the other hand, I finally bought Franco a new carseat today and when I put him in it, he seriously smiled at me with such an expressive look that he might as well have said out loud, "This is cool Mom." I just thought that was a bit ironic.
Finn was terrible two today. I thought I had already seen that beast rear its ugly head, but I had not seen anything yet. Something tells me I will say that phrase yet again several times in the future (awesome amount of adverbs there).
BTW, sorry it has been a while, I've been posting on Geela's blog.

I love that the guilt train is always idling for you, too. Are you sure we're not Catholic? Great post.
i traded guilt for the drunken lament.

Good for you. Harper has been doing REALLY good lately.(crossed fingers)
Anyways. I need to see the new room.
I'm a sleep nazi so all my kids have been sleep trained. No need to feel guilty--babies (and their moms) need to sleep!
Its the first run of accepting that all children experience pain.
I'm totally excited that I can stalk - ahem, catch up with - you now. Woot for blogging. Oh, and did you know that Heather of dooce was in my London study abroad program? Yeah, she totally remembers cutting my hair for me. Nice, huh?
