Turning Point

This year I have undergone a change of perspective on many things because of this:

"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so."
--Shakespeare's Hamlet

Universal truths--as far as I can know them--aside, I have taken the liberty to apply it to everything else in my life lately. Essentially, it has made me consistently aware of and responsible for my perception of the good and bad about things. Herein I have found new liberties.

werd!
I remember reading about Zen Buddhism in like 9th grade and learning from attachment comes suffering. Once you stop trying to hold on to things, you no longer suffer. The whole, "if you love something set it free..." saying is true.

Cheers! I'm happy for you.

Wow deep thoughts by Sarah Windes. I think shakespeare is just saying "lighten up".

True Ruth, ironically said by one of the most tormented, intense characters. My point exactly. Love your comment Brook. Agreed!

Confucius Say:
Man who stand on toilet, high on pot.

(wow, that was bad)

In all seriousness, what is going on with the world lately? Does it seem to anyone else to be unraveling before our eyes? Or is it just me tripping balls on turning 30.
