One Onion

Today I went with my mom, aka nonna, to In N Out Burger. In response to the question, "Would you like onions on that?", my mom replied, "Yes, I would like one onion." I repeated this to the In N Out employee taking our order who repeated it back to me three times for clarification. I believe the second and third repetition was for the entertainment of his co-workers (giggles were heard). When we got our food, I asked my mom if we could have a look at how they did with the singular onion. They had delicately placed one small ring from the center of an onion on the burger. I should have taken a picture of that for the blog. Believe me it would have been worth it.
